The Fifth Circuit affirmed a summary judgment obtained by Marcie Schout and Lance Lewis for Burlington Insurance Company regarding an insurer's duty to defend. The Fifth Circuit summarily affirmed the trial court's granting of the motion for summary judgment after Marcie Schout's oral argument (June 2011).

Lance Lewis, Marcie Schout and Gregory Sudbury obtained a favorable ruling from the the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals that affirmed a summary judgment for J. P. Morgan Chase regarding the application of a four year statute of limitations to claims that a home equity loan was originated in violation of certain Texas constitutional requirements (June 2011).
