Julia Frandsen-DeLoach’s practice at the firm’s Indianapolis office includes complex consumer financial litigation and compliance and business litigation where she defends against claims under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and other federal and state laws. Julia is no stranger to the courtroom, bringing six years of criminal trial experience on both the prosecution and defense sides. Throughout her career, she has participated in more than 40 jury and bench trials, giving her extensive firsthand trial experience and a practical perspective on litigation strategy.
Prior to joining QSLWM, Julia served as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in the Special Victims Unit at the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office for just over two years where she prosecuted major felony domestic violence cases and dedicated additional time to screening and filing domestic violence charges representing the State of Indiana. However, Julia’s passion for litigation and oral advocacy began in 2020 at the Marion County Public Defender Agency where she advanced through various roles as she represented indigent clients including student certified intern, graduate legal intern, law clerk, and Public Defender.
Julia received a B.A. from Baylor University in 2018 with a double major in Environmental Studies and French and a minor in Legal Reasoning and Analysis while playing on the Baylor Drum Line all four years. She moved to the Hoosier state to attend Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law where she was president of the Environmental Law Society, became a Barrister and subsequently competed at the National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition at Pace University where she received an award for best oralist, and she ultimately received a J.D. in 2021 with two graduate certificates in Advocacy Skills and Environmental and Natural Resources Law.
Outside of the office, she can be found at Newfields, the cinema, in her garden pulling weeds, or at home spending time with her three cats: Felony, Misdemeanor, and Dash.
