Practice Description

Ms. Collins represents banks, financial institutions, consumer reporting agencies, creditors, debt collectors, and other companies in consumer finance disputes, including claims under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the Truth in Lending Act, and other federal and state statutes. Separate from her consumer finance litigation practice, Ms. Collins also provides advice on data privacy and security incidents, assisting her clients to determine the nature and scope of the incident; she works to ensure the incident is contained and identifies any legal, regulatory or contractual duties and the compliance of such duties. Ms. Collins also represents companies in bankruptcy and complex business litigation matters, including adversary proceedings, partnership disputes and tortious interference.
