Practice Description
Leon Gil is an experienced trial attorney representing clients in commercial litigation and navigating lawsuits in state and federal courts and arbitrations to achieve favorable resolutions. His practice includes consumer financial litigation and business disputes with a focus on Fair Credit Reporting Act and Deceptive Trade Practices Act cases. Leon also represents contractors and third-party warranty companies in contract disputes, warranty claims, and contract negotiations.
Representative Experience
Leon primarily represents credit reporting agencies before federal courts throughout the country in consumer finance disputes.
Prior to joining QSLWM, Leon handled complex civil litigation at a regional full-service business law firm. He represented corporate and individual clients in the construction, real estate, and securities sectors. Leon also defended the nation’s largest residential homebuilders in construction defect litigation.
Leon began his career as an officer in the United States Army. He served in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps as a prosecutor at the National Training Center and Fort Irwin, California, and later as a trial defense counsel at Fort Meade, Maryland. He gained trial experience trying contested felony cases before military panels and judges on both coasts.
