Practice Description
Joshua Smentek’s practice focuses on a wide range of litigation matters. Joshua has experience handling a variety of legal issues associated with wrongful death, personal injury and tort defense, premises liability, first party insurance claims, and e-discovery matters. During his time in practice Joshua has represented a number of companies and individuals in defending personal injury, construction defect, business interruption, and coverage disputes while maintaining a high-volume defense docket.

Mediated numerous cases to favorable settlement on behalf of various clients, including individuals, contractors, trucking companies and drivers in litigation throughout Texas.
Obtained summary judgment in favor of contractor in slip and fall case in significant injury case in Dallas County.
Achieved favorable resolution on behalf of a rental car company in a multi-vehicle automobile personal injury lawsuit with seven-figure damage model in Dallas County.
Obtained favorable resolution on behalf of insurance carrier in breach of contract litigation.
Reached favorable resolution on behalf of contractor in multi-party construction defect claim in Travis County.
Successfully overturned default judgement and obtained a new trial which resulted in a zero damages verdict for the client in Tarrant County.
