Practice Description
Taevian “Sterling” Satterfield focuses his practice on consumer financial services litigation, with an emphasis on claims arising under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). His practice is centered on evaluating claims at the outset of litigation, developing efficient defense strategies, and positioning cases for early resolution where appropriate. He regularly handles dispositive motion practice, written discovery, and case strategy in matters involving complex reporting and reinvestigation issues under the FCRA.
Prior to joining the firm, Sterling worked at the Office of Corporation Counsel for the City of Indianapolis, where he defended the City and its employees in a broad range of civil litigation matters, including tort and constitutional claims. That experience informs his practical, defense-oriented approach and his ability to assess risk and exposure early in litigation.
Outside of his practice, Sterling enjoys staying active through basketball, the gym, and time outdoors, often going on walks with his girlfriend, Alexa, and their beloved Golden Mountain Doodle, Loki. He values time with family and friends and is an active member in the Indianapolis community, including through his involvement with the 100 Black Men of Indianapolis, Inc.
