About Our Practice

Our real estate practice encompasses a broad range of litigation, transactional and regulatory experience throughout the state.

TRANSACTIONS: We represent owners, developers, investors and lenders in sophisticated commercial real estate transactions including acquisitions and dispositions, development and construction, leasing, lending, finance and joint ventures.  On behalf of financial institutions, we handle loan originations, work-outs, foreclosures and other servicing matters. We handle loans secured by real estate collateral of all types, and routinely deal with construction, subordinate debt, participations and syndications.

LITIGATION: Our attorneys routinely represent sellers, purchasers and lenders in litigation involving contractual issues, delinquent taxes and loan payments, and securitization matters for all types of commercial and residential properties.  We also represent major title insurance underwriters and agents in complex claims and coverage disputes, particularly in matters involving the growing number of mortgage fraud claims.

REGULATORY:  We also offer expertise in the zoning and permitting process for real estate in municipalities across North Texas.
